Chesapeake Bay striped bass reopened for harvest on September 1 after the August closure, and the season runs through December 5. The 2026 limit is one fish per person per day, between 19 and 24 inches. From December 6 it is catch-and-release only.

Isaias Remnants Still Squeezing Out Rain, a Stray Spin-Up Can’t Be Ruled Out, Tidal Flooding at the Coast
The remnants of Isaias aren't done with us yet. NWS Baltimore/Washington (3:44 PM update) and Mount Holly (5:29 PM update) both describe a lull this afternoon giving way to a second, potentially heavier round of rain tonight as the old tropical low's circulation finally clears the state. A Flood Watch remains up, a stray brief tornado can't be ruled out through the evening, and coastal flood advisories are posted for Anne Arundel's tidal shoreline and parts of the lower Eastern Shore. It's a soggy, breezy, close-the-windows kind of night — but not a washout for your whole week, because sunshine and a real warmup are queued up right behind it.
Garrett County (Deep Creek/Oakland): Low near 54°, breezy and unsettled with showers and thunderstorms likely overnight (72% chance). Wind light out of the north, 2-10 mph. Monday brings a lingering chance of showers before skies turn mostly cloudy, high around 63° — cooler up here than almost anywhere else in the state.
Allegany County (Cumberland): Showers and thunderstorms likely this evening, continuing overnight with a low around 57°. Winds light from the north. Monday improves nicely — partly sunny, high near 73°, with only a 9% shower chance.
